TECNIS MULTIFOCAL

Tecnis

The Tecnis Multifocal Lenses gives excellent distance vision, and now comes in a range of "adds" for different near points. The +4 version has a quite close near point, good for patients who may be jewelers, librarians, or do other close work. The +3.25 or +2.75 adds are better for reading at regular distances ort computers and tablets . Halos at night are common for the first 4-6 weeks after surgery but tend to disappear over time. These are great lenses for patients who underwent LASIK previously as the Tecnis family of lenses corrects spherical aberrations that can be induced by LASIK.  Patients with prior mild or moderate glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal scar tissue, corneal scars, or radial keratotomy are not good candidates for this lens.
